Tinnitus – Cure for Tinnitus

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

So you want to learn about tinnitus?

Sometimes you may experience buzzing or whistling noise in your ears that may last for 24 hours a day. It may be constant without any break. This is not external source of noise, but rather due to muscle contractions near the ear, changes in the ear canal, or blood flow (vascular) problems.

Its not just people who suffer from tinnitus who hear this noise. We all sometime may experience tinnitus for short periods of time. For example, if we have been exposed to loud music for long periods of time, we sometimes can experience symptoms of tinnitus.

Normally, the ringing or buzzing in the ears will go way after awhile. But if it continues, chances are it is tinnitus. People who suffer from this condition find it very hard to cope with, as it is awfully disturbing and uncomfortable.

People over the age of 40 are more likely to experience this problem. In the younger age groups, it is quite rare. This disease is more common in men than in women.

There are two main types of tinnitus:

Non-vibratory tinnitus is caused by problems in the central or peripheral nerves involved with hearing. One may experience hearing sound in one or both ears. Sometimes this type of tinnitus may seem like the sound is coming from inside the head.

Vibratory tinnitus is often caused by mechanical sounds created by muscle contractions near the ear, changes in the ear canal, or blood flow (vascular) problems involving the face or neck. It is possible that one may hear sounds such as your own pulse or the contractions of your muscles which is referred to as pulsatile tinnitus. The major cause of tinnitus may be prolonged exposure to loud noise (auditory trauma) that can damage the nerves in the inner ear. However, tinnitus can crop up with all types of hearing loss and may be a symptom of almost any ear disorder.

Even some have it has been referred as “the club disease”. This is because people experience tinnitus or “ringing ears” after attending loud clubs or concerts.

The ones who suffer from this hearing problem is certainly not a result of their imagination. While most cases of tinnitus are temporary and will go away after certain period, some cases require medical attention.

Get Rid of Ringing in the Ears – Tinnitus Cure

Monday, January 11th, 2010

There are many of people that suffer from some degree of ringing in the ears. I am going to go over with you what options you have to get rid of the ringing, and how you can choose the best treatment for ringing in the ears that will work best for you.

One of the first questions that may come into your mind, is what may be causing the ringing that you hear all of the time. Well, it could be a number of things, but one of the most common things that causes it is the exposure to loud noises. This can be anything from loud music to loud firearms and loud machinery.

The other thing that gets asked a lot is if you may have tinnitus. Tinnitus is a condition which occurs when the nerves in your ears or brain get damaged and you hear a constant ringing or buzzing sound. It is the most annoying thing to deal with because you hear a ringing all of the time.

Some people try to cover the ringing with other sounds like running water or by turning the radio up, but these are not cures. You need a treatment for ringing in the ears that will keep the ringing away for good so that you can sleep at night again.

There are really only two main treatment options when it comes to treating the ringing that comes from tinnitus or other things. The first option, which I recommend that you avoid, is surgery. Surgery can get rid of the ringing, but you will also lose most, if not all, of your hearing in the process. So, while it is an option, you need to try other safe treatments first.

The second treatment for ringing in the ears, is to give natural treatment a try. Natural treatments have no side effects or risks, so you have nothing to lose when trying them when you want to get rid of the ringing in your ears.

Natural treatments work to get rid of the ringing with many different methods. There are tons to try before you even consider going under the knife. So please, give these treatments a try first.

About Tinnitus – Cure for Tinnitus

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, is an affliction that millions of people suffer from. These individuals, who range in age from children to the elderly, hear sound in their ears even when there is no exterior noise. The noise can sound like hissing, bussing, roaring, clicking, and may even be a high pitched whining noise. Quiet environments can exacerbate the problem of tinnitus, making it very difficult for sufferers to sleep through the night.

What is tinnitus? Some would call it a disease or an illness but this is not really true. Persistent tinnitus is more than a hearing or ear problem. It can indicate a more serious disease such as high blood pressure, anemia, atherosclerosis, or malformation of the capillaries. But those are not the only causes for tinnitus. Meniere’s disease, hearing loss due to age, ear infections, a blocked ear canal or allergies are all possibilities, as are frequent exposure to loud noises and even some medications.

What are the implications of tinnitus not being a disease? Although there is no known cure for it, there are various treatments available to help ease the symptoms. This is positive news for sufferers of tinnitus and should save us from worrying until a cure is found. The several natural remedies that are available are inexpensive and easy for anyone to perform at home. This makes them both practical and accessible. One such remedy is to avoid going to places that will expose you to loud noise. If exposure is inevitable, wearing hearing protection devices such as earplugs or special earmuffs can help muffle the sound. Another such remedy to help with the symptoms of tinnitus is to avoid salty foods, caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine. Often, lifestyle changes such as stopping smoking, decreasing alcohol consumption, and modifying our diets are necessary to decrease the effects of tinnitus. Diets rich in protein, choline, zinc, vitamins A, B, and E are suggested, as are regular exercise routines which help with blood circulation.

Medical aids like hearing aids and maskers could help us make distracting noises in our environment less annoying if we discover it is too difficult to depend on natural remedies on their own. Help from herbal concoctions for tinnitus are appealing choices because they have no side effects. Some more possible choices would be acupuncture, aromatherapy, acupressure, meditation or reflex techniques. When incorporating stress management therapies, possible choices include, tinnitus retraining, cognitive-behavioral therapy or out counseling.

Above the ones mentioned, getting stressed is the thing to avoid as it just worsens the ringing of ears. Sufferers with a positive attitude toward their condition would find it easier to bear tinnitus.

Tinnitus Cure | Natural Tinnitus Treatments

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Natural Treatment for Tinnitus Tinnitus is one of those frustrating and infuriating conditions for which there is no cure. Everyone who suffers from tinnitus is desperate for a cure to be discovered but for some reason this seems to be still some way off. The medical and scientific community has not been able to find a cure to date. Natural treatment is currently the way to go.

Natural Treatment for Tinnitus Options To day there are many treatment options available to the tinnitis sufferers and foremost amongst these are natural treatments and remedies. These options can be broken up into homeopathic tinnitus treatments, herbal treatments, vitamin based therapies and a combination of all of these.

Natural homeopathic tinnitus treatments are made up of natural ingredients that are potentized homeopathically. Homeopathic treatments work on the “like treating like” theory. What this means in plain language is that the homeopathic preparation would cause the symptoms in a healthy person that it will cure in a sick person.

Homeopathy is an extremely powerful natural science modality that has been around for hundreds of years and has had excellent results in the treatment of tinnitus.

Natural herbal therapies for tinnitus are also popular and have been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Gingko biloba, sesame seeds, Chinese herbs, black cohosh, spinach, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and even onion juice has been used as being successful in the treatment in tinnitus.

Natural vitamin formulations have also long been thought to be successful in the treatments of tinnitus and most of these contain Vitamin A, Vitamin C, the B group vitamins, Vitamin E, Vitamin A and Zinc.

Many studies and trials of natural products have been conducted over the years with varying degrees of success reported. It is thought that most of these regimens have had some successes in reducing tinnitus levels due better health in general as well as higher immune system levels.

Conclusions about natural tinnitus treatment options Because of the fact that most of the natural tinnitis treatment options are not marketed by the large pharmaceutical companies, they are not normally backed by clinically trials and studies.

This does not mean that they are not effective, indeed for the treatment of tinnitus, natural remedies have proved to be the only really effective method of obtaining relief for tinnitus.

Tinnitus – Stop Your Ringing Ears Naturally

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Tinnitus (sometimes spelled ‘Tinnitis’ or Tinitus’) refers to a ringing in the ears, or the hearing of noises in the ears when there is no outside source for the sounds. While many people describe “ringing ears”, other sounds that people may experience can include humming, hissing, blowing, roaring, sizzling, or whistling noises.

Almost everyone experiences a mild form of Tinnitus from time to time, usually only lasting brief periods. However, many people experience constant or recurring Tinnitus, and this can lead to more serious problems including difficulty concentrating or the inability to sleep.

Although the exact cause of Tinnitus is not known, possible factors may include a build up of wax in the ears, ear infections, or damage to the ears due to loud noises. In many cases, the taking of certain drugs may lead to ear noises. Therefore, some of the steps that can be taken to relieve Tinnitus include the avoidance of caffeine, alcohol, and smoking.

While many medicines have been used to treat Tinnitus in the past as well as today, there is no magic drug that will work for everyone. However, many people have had much success with alternative natural therapies including acupuncture, hypnosis, and craniosacral therapy to name a few. Herbal supplements and vitamins can also be helpful, especially those that include magnesium, zinc, ginkgo biloba, melatonin, or B vitamins.

Of course, prevention is usually the best cure and people can do this by using ear protection wherever ear damage is possible such as loud concerts, construction areas with jackhammers, etc.

Tinnitus – The Unbearable Sounds

Friday, November 27th, 2009

When Tinnitus sufferes are surrounded by a very loud noise, they can hear a resounding ringing in the ears or loud buzzing sound. People with tinnitus are affected by unbearable loud sounds, even though these sounds are not bothersome to others. With the use of a brain-imaging device called the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging or fMRI, researchers find out that the hearing centers in the brain of people with tinnitus are more active than normal people. This means that their hearing a more sensitive to sounds than normal.

Doctors recommend that you do the following steps if you want to prevent ear ringing: avoid too much intake of salt; control your blood pressure; avoid too much intake of caffeine, colas, tobaccos and other stimulants; Exercise regularly; and, Give enough time for rest and try to avoid fatigue.

One of the most common treatments for this condition is through Tinnitus Retraining Therapy or TRT, a broadband noise to treat tinnitus. This training the ears to listen to soft levels of sounds for a given period of time everyday, this will help in their tolerance to sounds. The doctor will first identify the level of loudness discomfort level and through that, they can pattern the sound treatment until you achieve a tolerable level.

This disorder is often described as a subjective observation which makes it highly difficult to test and measure. A doctor cannot compare the sound heard by the patient to the noise emitted by a certain frequency and intensity. The doctor will not be able to conduct and audiometric test on the patient, too, since the sound is heard by no one else but the patient. Because of this, tinnitus is simply classified depending on the description of the patient from “slight” to “catastrophic”. They also draw their classification depending on the level of disturbance it causes the patient like disturbance in sleep, quiet time and normal activities.

My conclusion is that its possible to fight tinnitus, and even win. The first step is knowledge, most of us, even those who suffer from this trouble problem dont know enough. When one obtains enough knowledge a solution is at hand.

Tinnitus Is Kind Of Disorder

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Tinnitus is a disorder that can be perceived in either just one ear or both. Sometimes, patients report that they hear the buzzing in their head. The most common description for the sound is a ringing noise, but others also report sounds like high pitch whining or like bees buzzing. Sometimes they say that it sounds like humming or hissing, or a slight whistling sound. Others describe their experience as a clicking or ticking sound or sounds that are similar to what insects like locusts, flies or crickets emit.

Various mental conditions have been connected with tinnitus. This is because some people suffering from severe ringing in the ears can feel isolated when the noise hinders their daily routines. However, tinnitus is not a mental disorder. It would be best to seek counseling for the depression and seek help to cope with the noise. A good tinnitus treatment would be masking. Learning to drown the noise inside the ears or head by using external noise is good way to cope with tinnitus. Various electronic devices can be used such as clocks ticking or TV or radio hissing. Comforting music or meditation music can also be used in order to drown out the ringing in ears.

Use ear plugs when you are using loud and noise-making appliances like washing machines, lawn mowers and vacuum cleaners. People with too much exposure to sounds with 70 dB below levels are very much prone to tinnitus. That is why you should use ear protection. It could also be useful to assess your medicines for their ototoxicity content. Ototoxicity are increasing between intervals of medication intake, thus causing serious damage done by loud noises. If you are going to take medications that have ototoxicity, physicians should always give you the proper medication and prescription.

One way of preventing ringing in ears is to avoid noisy places. Concerts, sporting events and other events can create a lot of noise which is not good for your ear. Avoid going to those places. Also, when you listen to music using electric devices or watch TV, turn the volume down so that the sound would not harm your ear.

My conclusion is that its possible to fight tinnitus, and even win. The first step is knowledge, most of us, even those who suffer from this trouble problem dont know enough. When one obtains enough knowledge a solution is at hand.

Consider the sounds associated with this disorder and you can begin to picture how this works. You can hear your pulse and the blood moving through your body. These sounds are typically blocked by the noises you hear in your environment.

When the noises in your environment are blocked because of fluid or nerve damage, you begin to focus on the sounds within your body. You can reverse this using self-hypnosis and through the subconscious mind.

The process is relatively simple and you can see excellent results immediately. All you need to do is to listen to a hypnosis MP3 or CD in order to overcome this hearing problem. It is that simple.

Tinnitus And Hyperacusis

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Studies have shown that tinnitus can be acquired through constant exposure to loud music, as in the case of musicians, or those that works and operates heavy machineries and factories with large equipments, this can damage their ability to hear normally, thus 40% of people with tinnitus are suffering from hyperacusis.

There are actually very little is known about this condition relatively to other hearing problems. some tend to over react about it, some are shocked and also some panics a lot, actually, this is not good according to researches, because, people became more stressed out and will most possibly have sleepless nights because of worrying so much, so instead of helping themselves to overcome the problem they worsen their conditions

Tinnitus sufferes should always see to it that they are relaxed and well equipped to his or her surroundings. Why? It is because the more people are exposed to stress or daily problems, the more the tinnitus will increase in its intensity and in its volume, meaning, the patient will hear a lot more ringing in the ears.

Another ingredient that help fighting Tinnitus is Carboneum Sulphuratum a homeopathic preparation from liquid carbon. The symptoms that it treats in addition to the ear ringing, are vertigo or loss of balance and dizziness, blocked ears and ear discharges, as well as headaches and head pressure.

It is important to seek prompt medical advice and ear treatment to avoid further development of tinnitus in a person’s hearing sense.
